Co-operative Store St. Clears raises over £4300 for GRPS

What a momentous day for the Railway and the Gwili Vintage Carriage Group Charity.

The Coop community fund raised over £4,415.75 from customers who used their Co-operative Store Members Card. They selected the GVCG after Scott and Matt completed the fundraising questionnaire.

Since applying for the Community Fund over twelve months ago we received an invite this month to receive the cheque and money raised. We then went to the store on Saturday 23rd November to say thank you to the customers and explain how it helped the railway.

New teams, new volunteers, new trains what more can we ask? Simple – keep visiting us, donate and keep supporting us, we promise the volunteers and staff will keep up the great work that they do for the little gem that is ours and your heritage railway!

Thank you to Sadie and the team. The money will go towards the ‘Dan Do Shed Appeal’. Groundwork’s start In the new year. Looks like 2020 will be a special year for Gwili.

Full steam ahead for 2020!
