Your day will begin at midday when we ask you to meet the train, enjoy a pre lunch drink in our bar coach and from where you will be seated. The Sunday lunch train departs Bronwydd Arms at 12.00 and gently travels through the Carmarthenshire countryside taking three and a half to four hours in total. Infants and older children can enjoy the trip along with the family but some of our younger visitors may find that they have too much energy for the trip. You do have the chance to stop and stretch your legs between courses.
Seating Arrangements in the Bar Coach.
On occassions, it is necessary to use the smaller bar coach for seating. The tables are either for 2 or for up to 4 people but the same great food and service is still promised.
Seating Arrangements in the Dining Car
The dining tables seat four people. As they are from a bygone era, the seating arrangement is cosy. If you are booking for less than four people, be aware that you may have other diners at your table. We hope that you will see it as a chance to make new friends but if you prefer not to share with strangers or have a romantic meal for 2, you can reserve additional seats for £15 per seat.
Access for Wheelchairs and Pushchairs
Wheelchairs can board the train via a ramp into the Guard’s Van however the doorways are too narrow and so wheelchairs and pushchairs cannot access the dining car itself. Providing you or your guest is able to walk a small distance, we may be able to assist you into the dining car. If you are in any doubt, please speak to the office before booking. 01267 238213 or email us.
Food allergies and intolerances
Please let us know of any food allergies or intolerances you or your guests may have when booking your dining experience. We are keen to accommodate alternative diets whenever possible. Please phone or email your requirements 01267 238213 or email us using the Contact Form.
