Take a scenic ride back in time on our Vintage Train

Take a vintage train ride on our beautiful railway in South West Wales – over rivers, through pretty fields and woodlands. Ideal for families and heritage-lovers alike!

This train trip lasts for 90-minutes and is scheduled to be hauled on all dates by a steam locomotive.

It leaves and returns to our new station at Abergwili Junction (SA31 2DG) where there is plenty of free parking.

Two Ways to Travel!

Our trains feature two types of ticket, covering different seating spaces on-board.

Exclusive Vintage Compartments

Our compartment seats are a brilliant, heritage way to travel – particularly for larger groups (up to six people). You will travel in a 1950s-style compartment of your own with a large picture window and plenty of space to enjoy your trip with loved ones.

Open Seating Tickets

If you’d like a more flexible option that allows particularly for small party sizes (such as couples), you may want to travel in open seating. You will be able to choose your seat when you arrive and settle in for a relaxing train trip!

What to Expect

  • A warm welcome from our small, dedicated team.
  • Steam train ride through beautiful South Wales countryside.
  • Seats on-board 1950s carriages.
  • Two short stops (one for the locomotive to change ends of the train – don’t forget to take photos – and one so that you can explore our heritage collection of rolling stock, speak to volunteers and enjoy this countryside halt).
